Welcome to East St. Farm! We are a small, dedicated farm founded on a deep love for the land, a commitment to quality, and decades of agricultural expertise. Our mission is simple: to bring the freshest, most vibrant specialty vegetables and flowers directly from our fields to your table.
Meet the Owner: Erin Windham
East St. Farm is the new venture of owner Erin Windham, whose commitment to agriculture spans over 25 years. Erin combines rigorous academic training with extensive, hands-on farming experience:
- Academic Background: Erin holds a degree in Ornamental Horticulture/Plant Science from the University of Connecticut ($UConn$) and a degree in Biology from Westfield State University. This dual background provides a unique, scientific understanding of plant health and successful cultivation.
- Decades of Expertise: With over two decades in the industry, Erin has honed the specialized skills required to grow premium, high-quality produce and flowers here in Connecticut.
While East St. Farm is a new name, it builds directly on a successful, established history. Erin previously owned and operated Windham Gardens in Granby for several years. During that time, she cultivated a loyal following by:
- Growing Diverse Vegetables: Supplying bountiful, seasonal produce to farmers markets throughout Connecticut.
- Running a Successful CSA: Operating a Community Supported Agriculture program that connected members directly to the harvest.
- Specialty Florals: Growing beautiful cut flowers specifically for weddings, events, and custom arrangements.
